ROCKNET MEETING MINUTES
October 14, 2004The meeting convened at 7:35 pm in the City Manager's Conference Room.
In attendance were: Bob Ekman, Brian Pierce, Betsy Robbins, Mike Cannon, Stan Klein, Jan Norman, and Jonathan Walker.
1. The minutes of August and September were reviewed and accepted.
2. Rocknet statistics for September were 370 average visits per day as compared to 390 for August. Voter guides have been added to the Rocknet web site along with some minor changes.
3. Betsy Robbins reported that the City's web site is displaying the Town Center image from the Rocknet web site. Other additions include:
a. 2004 Annual Report
b. Entire adopted budget for FY2005
c. City Refuse Study
d. Proposal Form for FY2005 Capital Improvement Projects
e. Upcoming 10k/5k Run
f. October 22 Haunted Happenings4. Bob Ekman reported on the Webcam project. The webcam is sending a image to the Rocknet server every minute. An image is displayed on Rocknet along with the City web server. The images are archived every hour on Rocknet. The archive was started on October 1. There are two other queues of images -- hourly and daily.
The images are being collected, but there is no time lapse generation software. Bob asked the attendees to come up with suggestions for a solution. Bob will post a collection of images to test the software.
