ROCKNET MEETING MINUTES
June 15, 2000
(This meeting was originally scheduled for June 8, but was postponed
because several board members were unavailable.)
The meeting convened at 7:40 PM in the City Manager's Conference room at
City Hall
In attendance were: Bob Ekman, Betsy Robbins, Robert Skinner, Stan Klein,
Bob Bolcik, Jim Beller, Brian Pierce, Roald Schrack, Kevin Johnson, Wendy
Pelham, Mike Cannon, and Paul Arveson.
1) Minutes of the meeting of May 11 were accepted as submitted.
2) Statistics for the City Web site and Rocknet were presented by Betsy
Robbins. She will have a part time assistant for the summer.
3) Mike Cannon reported on the difficulty experienced in getting the ISP
address switched . ISI has jurisdiction over change of addresses for .us
domains. The address switch is to take place at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, June
20. It should propagate through the internet in about 12 hours.
4) The brochure wording was discussed with some revisions made. The
brochure should be ready by July.
5) Stan Klein will present a list of security concerns for the web sites.
6) The web page for the Rose Hill Falls community is progressing.
7) There was a discussion of the results obtained from the survey for the
first 23 returns and how the survey might be improved to learn more about
ways to improve Rocknet.
8) Areas of needed improvement for Rocknet were discussed and plans were
made to place the potential improvements on Rocknet.
Meeting adjourned at 9:25 PM. Next meeting planned for July 13.
